Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Olive Speech Therapy, PLLC is a highly supportive atmosphere that is looking for an energetic, collaborative Speech Language Pathologist to provide itinerant speech therapy services to children ages 3 to 5 in various settings including but not limited to homes, day cares, and preschools, as well as speech therapy in the clinic setting for pediatric clients.

This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, benefits, and a localized territory of your choosing, along with the option to work summers. Both part- and full-time positions are available. CFY candidates are encouraged to apply.

Location: You have the ability to see students from the school districts of your choosing within both Monroe and Orleans Counties (currently looking for an individual who can work in Brockport, Churchville-Chili, Gates-Chili, Greece, Hilton, Honeoye Falls-Lima, Spencerport, Wheatland-Chili, Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville, and/or Medina school districts), as well as the clinic located in Fairport, NY.

 

Pay: $54 to $70 per hour

Essential duties and responsibilities: provide the students with speech and language therapy services in all areas related to communication development by performing the following duties:

  • Providing high quality direct speech-language therapy, evaluations, IEP development, and consultation with other related service providers as needed in accordance with the students’ IEPs

  • Writing comprehensive reports to determine strengths and areas of need regarding speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills in alignment with school district, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Completing progress reports in Frontline in a timely manner and according to school district policy.

  • Managing a detailed log of service provided and services missed due to student or therapist absences on CPSE Portal according to school district and state guidelines.

  • Maintaining appropriate, confidential records.

  • Remaining in good standing with both ASHA and NYS.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)

Valid driver's license
CCC from ASHA desirable
