Let Me Introduce Ashley

Ashley received her Master of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) from New York University in New York, NY. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a certified speech-language pathologist in the states of New York and New Jersey. Ashley has experience working in schools in New Jersey, in addition to North Carolina, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Ashley previously worked as a speech-language pathologist at an elementary school in New Jersey, working with preschool through third grade students. She loves being a part of the Olive Speech Therapy team and working with students in the Rochester area. Ashley’s areas of clinical interest include: Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Speech Sound Disorders, including the “r” sound and lateral lisps. She is passionate about providing child centered therapy that best supports a child’s needs at home and in the classroom. Ashley is an advocate for speech-language therapy that is fun and follows the child’s lead. 

 

In her free time, Ashley loves to cook home recipes with her husband, read, and travel! She enjoys drawing and loves to incorporate creativity into her speech sessions. She enjoys visiting all the beautiful parks in Rochester with her husband and puppy! Ashley looks forward to getting to know more about your child’s own passions and interests.
